Home, for me, will always be Calcutta. I was born there. It is a wonderful city, alive, warm and caring. My earliest memories are of books and music. Vividh Bharati (a popular radio station) played almost continuously during my childhood. I inherited my love for ghazals from my father and my love for dancing from my mother.

I majored in Mathematics from Lady Brabourne College. After my graduation, I joined the Institute of Management Technology and studied computers, mainly software development. After successfully completing my studies, I went to work for DCM Data Systems, now DCM Technologies, a Delhi based company. The last few years I have been working for Verizon.
